Diana Awakened

Diana Awakened is a small study - 5" round, oil on panel - for a future larger painting. The last 14 minutes covers my palette and colors I have been using lately. 

I talk about my mindset while working through each step and explain my hierarchy of principles when attempting to paint any subject. I talk about why I paint flesh the way I do and share insights as I give commentary over the video.

The downloads include the video as well as a zip file that contains the original reference, the composited reference, a black and white image that I used to paint from initially and a hi-resolution capture of the final painting.

The original painting time was 6 hours but this video is sped up to a reasonable pace to be more efficient with your time. It still lets you see every brushstroke, but I believe it is more effective than if it were in real-time.
