The painting depicts Brigid, the Celtic goddess of the spring. In this video I discuss composition, underpainting, finishing, using reference, and more. It is a time-lapse, sped up around 15x the original painting. You still get to see every paint stroke happen, but you can watch it over a couple of lunch breaks or multiples times while working. I narrate over the video explaining the materials, brushes, and thoughts as I take the painting from reference, digital comp, drawing, underpainting, and the final finished image.
