Cassandra's Lament - Capturing Light in Oils

In this video I walk through my process of gathering reference, adjusting the reference, compositing, creating a small oil study, and then executing the final painting. I discuss mixing flesh tones, keeping colors vibrant and intense, and how I paint fabric and clouds. The video is just over two hours. It is sped up from the original painting time of about 7 days. The download also includes my original reference images, still from the video, and a high-resolution capture of the final painting.
